The lithium ion battery of 9 kWh is located under the floor of the trunk, which limits the capacity being 500 L, but can be increased to 1719 L if the rear seats are folded.
It has an adaptive suspension and the all-wheel drive to all four wheels. There will be no M version of this model, but BMW itself offer the M Sport package.
The price of this plug-in hybrid vehicle was not revealed, but will reach dealers in Europe in autumn this year.
